What is Royal Giving Day?

Royal Giving Day is a 24 hour event that provides the opportunity for Queenslanders to show their support and gratitude to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and collectively raise much-needed funds for cutting edge medical and clinician-led research, evidence-based patient care, education, innovative equipment and other initiatives.

When is Royal Giving Day?

Royal Giving Day will take place on 23 June 2021, all donations will be doubled during this 24 period (e.g. if you donate $20, it will become $40)

How can I support Royal Giving Day?

There are a few ways that you can support Royal Giving Day

Can I only donate or fundraise on 23 June 2021?

No, You can donate or fundraise now.

Where do the funds come from to match my gift?

Various individuals, corporate partners, and community groups have made donations to the RBWH Foundation, allowing us to build up a gift matching pool for Royal Giving Day.

Where do the funds raised go?

100% of every dollar raised will be spent on RBWH clinical priorities – research, patient care and education.

Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?

Yes. All donations over $2 will receive a tax-deductible receipt via email.

Do I have to use my credit card to make a donation?

The following methods are accepted via the website:

  • Apple Pay
  • PayPal

How can I personalise my fundraising page?

Personalising your fundraising page is a great way to ensure your supporters feel connected to your fundraising and often encourages more and higher donations. You can personalise your page by adding a profile photo, sharing your story and making blog posts. Log into your dashboard using the email and password you registered with to make updates and personalise your page.

Are there any resources to help me fundraise?

We have a range of promotional materials, including posters, social media tiles and templates for you to use to promote your fundraising activity. You can find and download these in Fundraising Resources

I have received a cash donation. How do I add it to my fundraising page?

Will the RBWH Foundation promote my fundraising activity?

While we will endeavour to provide as much assistance as possible and may have the opportunity to provide social media and/or traditional media promotion, this cannot be guaranteed for all activities.
